Centre-Based Services

Children will undergo one-to-one IBI with contracted qualified Instructor Therapists at our office.  Augmenting the one-to-one therapy, children will have an opportunity to interact with other children during our highly structured group instruction.  This social time will allow the children to work on their social, communication, and behavioural skills.  

Home Based Services

A Balanced Approach offers an option to families who wish to run their own program and hire their own Instructor Therapists.  Our Senior Therapists will provide supervision and write programs under the supervision of our Clinical Supervisor.

Social Skills Group

We also offer Friendship Groups for children with Asperger’s Syndrome specifically geared at social skills.  Some of the topics include: brainstorming, perspective taking, identifying social cues, using the emotion scale and conversation skills.  Children have the opportunity to learn important social skills in a fun, supportive environment with their peers.

Direct Funding Option (DFO)

We work with both privately funded families and those in the Direct Funding Option (DFO) stream of the provincial IBI initiative.  Because our staff are approved service providers with the provincial initiative, we can offer a seamless transition from private funding to DFO funded programming.

Parents and Guardians 

We also believe that parents and guardians are a crucial part of a child’s therapeutic team and encourage their full participation in the program.  By integrating the principles of ABA into daily living, parents are able to provide an ongoing and consistent therapeutic environment where skills learned in program can be generalized to the natural environment.
